Foster Care Chronicles

School of Health and Human Sciences

We have another Foster Care Chronicles opportunity this summer. We will be conducting a Photovoice research project for youth in or who used to be in foster care, ages 15-25. We are looking for 10 participants to meet on Thursday evenings in September, October, and November, from 6:30-8:30 pm, for about 6 weeks. In this research project, participants will take pictures of their world and meet with other youth in foster care to discuss what it’s like being in foster care. They will learn about photography and other art mediums. This is a chance for them to teach others about their life. We will then have a photography exhibition in Greensboro and High Point at Greensboro Project Space and Theatre Art Galleries where you can see through the eyes of a “foster child.”

Tentative group dates:

Thursdays: September 26; October 3, 10 & 24; November 7 & 14 at College Park Baptist Church
